posted Sep 27, 2016, 6:55 AM by Jennifer Mourad   [ updated Sep 27, 2016, 6:57 AM ]

When students are absent on the day of a test or quiz, arrangements must be made to make them up either in the morning  at 7:35 or after school. Please note: after school make ups will usually be in Aftercare. Students may leave as soon as they finish the test and are not charged for Aftercare unless they are staying for Aftercare that day.

Tests and quizzes may be viewed on Power School. Please allow a few days for the grades to be posted. Tests/quizzes will be reviewed in class and then filed.

Tests/quizzes will only be sent home if the grade is a 70 or below. Those tests/quizzes will need to be signed and returned.

Parents may request a copy of any test at any time.

Math Information

posted Sep 18, 2015, 11:26 AM by Jennifer Mourad   [ updated Aug 9, 2016, 5:14 PM ]

Every week, usually on a Friday, the  5th and 6th grades will receive a 2 page "packet" to complete. It will usually be due the following Tuesday. They may work on these both at school and at home.

These packets, altogether, will be counted as 1 test grade at the end of each marking period.  Everyone starts with a grade of 100. Students lose points if these packets aren't complete or are not handed in on time.

**There is also a math folder in class.  There are packets of different types of math to be completed.  This is optional for students to do in their free time during Math classes.  If they finish a packet completely, they hand it in.  For all pages that are completed correctly, they receive 1 point towards a math test.  So if a completed packet has 4 correct pages, the student receives 4 extra points towards the next math test.
